It’s a Date! Replacement for Refined Sugar!

 

I rarely add sugar to anything anymore. When I do want something sweet I avoid using refined sugars. My first choice for anything that calls for sugar is to sweeten with fruits. My go to fruit for sweetening…dates! Favorite variety that I’ve tried so far…Medjool Dates. I just rinse them, remove the pits and add to smoothies or recipes for baked goods. It only takes one or two to add a lot of sweetness. Sometimes to help curb a sweet tooth I’ll just have a date by itself. The Medjool variety are like caramels. Chewy, sweet and delicious. Enjoy this healthier alternative to refined sugar. I’ll share some recipes soon.
